Kopiec Kościuszki Kraków

Kopiec Kościuszki w Krakowie jest jednym z pięciu kopców znajdujących się w tym mieście i upamiętnia postać Tadeusza Kościuszki. Zlokalizowany jest na Górze św. Bronisławy w zachodniej części Krakowa, w Dzielnicy VII Zwierzyniec.

Nadzór nad kopcem sprawuje Komitet Kopca Kościuszki w Krakowie, który został ustanowiony w 1820 roku. Siedziba komitetu, wraz z wystawami, znajduje się w części Fortu nr 2 "Kościuszko". Na terenie fortu można zwiedzić różne wystawy, m.in. Muzeum Kościuszkowskie.

Budowę kopca rozpoczęto w 1820 roku, a zakończono w 1823 roku. Prace trwały trzy lata i przyciągnęły wielu ochotników, w tym weteranów powstań, chłopów i młodzieży. Kopiec został wzniesiony na kształt dawnych kopców Krakusa i Wandy, symbolizując trwałość i niezniszczalność.
